A Better New Years Resolution

We are getting awfully close to the time where we traditionally make our New Year's resolutions. Before you resolve to do anything else I would like for you to join me in resolving to be good to yourself. That's right love yourself, treat yourself better and make sure that you make yourself a priority. The Bible tells us to "love our neighbors as we love ourselves." This means that we must first love ourselves before we are even capable of loving others. This is not selfish or self centered, but is in fact self-preserving. Mastering this must come before you decide to lose weight, move forward in some new venture, improve relationships with others or any other thing. When you come to the place where you feel comfortable in taking out special time for yourself and being good to yourself, you will then find it so much easier to do the other things that we commonly decide to do this time of the year. As I said when you have achieved this , then you can have a great time trying out tooth whiteners, a new exercise regimen, skin care products, starting a new business, improving your relationship with others or going back to school to finally complete your education. Just in case you don't get what I am saying, I will leave you with this:

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well (Psalms 139:14)

Speak this to yourself out loud now and throughout the new year as you enjoy being uniquely you.
